Heavenliness
We are a heavenly people. We should seek those things that are above, Col 3.1. We should not be earthly-minded, Phil 3.18. We have a heavenly vision. We live under an 'open heaven'. I believe that an 'open heaven' is possible, if we allow the Cross to work in us deeply. The flesh must be crucified. I am crucified with Christ, Gal 2.20. I am crucified to the world, Gal 6.14.
The Cross connects us with heaven. When Jesus went into the river Jordan, heaven opened, Matt 3.16. Elisha saw the heavenly chariots of fire. Heaven is more real than earth. We seek a heavenly city, whose builder and maker is God. We must live like Abraham, and walk in the footsteps of faith.
We walk by faith, not by sight [outward appearance]. May God open the eyes of our understanding. May we see by faith. May we appreciate the reality of heaven. May we be truly spiritual. May we glorify God by our heavenly walk.
